Campton Hills police are investigating the Sunday death of a 53-year-old Campton Hills woman.

According to police and media reports, officers from the Campton Hills Police Department and the Kane County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 40W600 block of Willowbrook Drive in Campton Hills for a 911 call for a report of an injured woman.

Responding officers found an injured female, later identified as Mary Bridget Summerwill, 53.

Paramedics transported Summerwill to Northwestern Medicine Delnor Hospital in Geneva, where she died of her injuries, the release stated.

Police said they were investigating the death as a possible homicide, but there have been no additional news releases as of 10 a.m. today (Wednesday, March 27, 2019).

No charges have been filed at this time.

Funeral services for Summerwill are being conducted by Yurs Funeral Home. Visitation is set for 10 a.m. to noon Friday, March 29, at St. Patrick Crane Road Church, 6N491 Crane Road, St. Charles, followed by funeral service at noon.
