Clerk’s Office Asks Electronic Sign Owners To Help Promote Early Voting

Early voting already is under way in Kane County, but the big push will start March 18, as multiple permanent and grace period voting locations open up throughout the county.

Early voting has become more and more popular with each election, and the Kane County Clerk’s Office is asking business for help in promoting it.

“Many businesses and Kane County Taxing Districts have electronic signs in front of their buildings which could promote voter registration and early voting,” Kane County Clerk John A. Cunningham said. “So our office is reaching out to these establishments for the upcoming April 2 Consolidated Election.”

Cunningham is hoping signs throughout the county will remind the public to register to vote and to vote early.

Voters in the upcoming election will have a number of important decisions to make — for mayoral and village president positions, city council and village board members, school board, park board, library board and more.
