Kane County Connects Named 2018 E-Newsletter ‘All Star’
Kane County Connects, the daily and weekly e-newsletter for citizens of Kane County, IL, has been named a 2018 All Star Award winner by Constant Contact, an Endurance International Group company.
The annual award recognizes the most successful 10 percent of Constant Contact’s content generators, based on their significant achievements using email marketing to engage citizens and drive results for their organization during the prior year.
Kane County Connects Editor Rick Nagel said the daily e-newsletter — which is provided as a free service to Kane County citizens — is a great option because you get a quick look at the top government and community stories of the day.
“Kane County Connects is unique among government outreach initiatives in that it shares public news and information from government organizations, non-profits and businesses to create a one-stop-shop for people who want to know what’s happening in their communities,” he said.
“We built Kane County Connects on the radical idea that government news doesn’t have to be boring — and our engagement numbers show that thousands of Kane County readers agree.”
Units of government, businesses and nonprofits using Constant Contact’s online marketing tools are eligible for this award.
Criteria used to select this year’s All Stars included the following during 2018:
- Level of engagement with email campaigns.
- Open, bounce, and click-through rates.
- Use of social sharing features.
- Use of mailing list sign-up tools.
- Use of reporting tools.
Holli Scott, Constant Contact’s vice president of customer success, said the award simply recognizes excellence in delivering quality content.
