March 22 Is World Water Day 2019 in Kane County, IL! Here’s What You Can Do
Kane County is joining the United Nations this year in focusing this year’s World Water Day, Friday March 22, on providing Water for All.
Today, billions of people are still living without safe water, said Jessica Milo, resource management coordinator for the Kane County Division of Environmental and Water Resources. So this World Water Day is about tackling the water crisis by addressing the reasons why so many people are left without clean water.
That said, Mino says there are many ways we can support that worldwide effort and the precious resources here.
“In Kane County, we can help by valuing the freshwater that is available to us and using our water resources responsibly,” said Jessica Milo, resource management coordinator for the Kane County Division of Environmental and Water Resources. “We want to use less water, and protect the water around us to maintain the water we do have. Our water resources are not infinite.”
