UPDATE: Fox River Flood Warning — Algonquin Could Reach 1.2 Feet Over Flood Stage

The National Weather Service Chicago has issued a Flood Warning for the Fox River at the Algonquin Tailwater and as of Friday had one in place for the Fox River at Montgomery.
According to the NWS Watches, Warnings and Advisories page, the Algonquin warning includes the Fox River from Johnsburg downstream to Red Gate Road in St. Charles.
The warning continues until further notice.
As of 7:30 a.m. today (Sunday, March 17), water levels are at 10.2 feet and the Flood Stage is 9.5 feet.
And water levels are rising.
According to the NWS Chicago, moderate flooding is forecast. The river is expected to continue to rise to near 10.7 feet by Wednesday afternoon.
Flood Warning at Montgomery
Minor flooding continues for the Fox River at Montgomery, which affects Kane and Kendall counties and includes the area from Red Gate Road in St. Charles downstream to Millington.
As of 10:15 a.m. today (Sunday, March 17, 2019), the stage was 13.06 feet. Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
“Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast,” the NWS said. “Continue to monitor forecast updates for the latest information.”
