Geneva Celebrates Earth Day April 13 at Peck Farm Park
Geneva families are encouraged to go green as the city’s Natural Resources Committee and the Geneva Park District team up to celebrate Earth Day.
The 12th annual Earth Day festivities will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 13, at Peck Farm Park, 4038 Kaneville Road.
Residents can purchase rain barrels, shred documents for free, receive a bicycle check-up, explore Tesla’s electric vehicles, peruse the Farmers Market and meet with green vendors.
Patrons also can drop off shoes to be recycled by Jolly Old Soles, pick up a birdhouse made from recycled wood by Dean’s Woodworking, get a health screening and learn about oak woodland volunteer restoration efforts in the Fabyan Forest Preserve.
Families can enjoy chalk art, children’s activities and Peck Farm Park’s beautiful natural surroundings. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.
