Kane Bar Association Brings May 1 Law Day Celebration to Students

The Kane County Bar Association will hold its 1st Annual Law Day Celebration on May 1, 2019, as attorneys from the KCBA travel to Wasco Elementary School to teach a class about the law.

In honor of Law Day, the KCBA will celebrate the rule of law and its contributions to the freedoms that Americans enjoy by teaching local students what attorneys do and the importance of our laws.

Attorneys Alice L. Sackett, Colleen G. Thomas and Lindsay A. Hatzis will be joining the fifth-grade classes for one class period at Wasco Elementary School.

The KCBA hopes to make this Law Day Celebration an annual tradition that builds on its 160-year history in Kane County. Some of the KCBA’s objectives are to facilitate and promote the administration of justice and to encourage continuing legal education.
