Montgomery Hosts April 30 Solar Energy Forum

The village of Montgomery will be holding a Solar Energy Forum at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 30, in the Board Room of the Village Hall located at 200 N River St.

Guest speakers include representatives from Commonwealth Edison, Seven Generations Ahead and the Citizens Utility Board. Topics of discussion will include how to apply for a solar permit, the available incentives that are currently being offered, how solar panels will affect your assessment and much more.

“If you are interested in solar energy in a residential or commercial application, this forum is for you,” said Jerad Chipman, senior planner for the village of Montgomery. “There are many incentives for installing solar arrays in Illinois, and the village intends for this event to provide a answers to many of the questions that you may have regarding those incentives.”

The forum is open to everyone.
