St. Charles Public Library Offers Free Programs During Small Business Week, May 5-11

The St. Charles Public Library is hosting two free business-focused programs during National Small Business Week, May 5-11, 2019.

The programs include:

Sales Strategies for Today’s Entrepreneur will be presented by Dr. Peter A. James, business and leadership coach, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 8. James will explain how to attract potential customers, through a specific, researched and proven sales techniques that are mandatory for today’s business owner.

Case Your Competition will be presented from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 9. Learn about library resources that will allow you to discover what your competition is doing.

This will not be a how-to on installing hidden cameras, but an introduction to using electronic resources that reveal industry trends, national market share, and the news you need to know to succeed in your category.

Since 1963, National Small Business Week has recognizes the critical contributions of America’s entrepreneurs and small business owners.

As part of National Small Business Week, the U.S. Small Business Administration takes the opportunity to highlight the impact of outstanding entrepreneurs, small business owners, and others from all 50 states and U.S. territories.
