UPDATE: Power Outage at in Geneva Caused By Faulty Underground Cable

Power was out for about 20 minutes this morning at the Kane County Government Center in Geneva, but was back up at around 8:50 a.m. today (Thursday, May 2, 2019).
Officials said the outage was caused by a faulty underground cable.
According to the city of Geneva, Public Works Department crews responded at around 8:45 a.m. to a power outage near Western Avenue.
The outage impacted residents near Cheever Avenue, Fargo Boulevard, Western Avenue and IL Route 31.
As of 11 a.m. Geneva Public Works Department crews have restored service to all 400 customers who were impacted.
