PHOTO STORY: Long-Awaited Longmeadow Bridge Begins To Take Shape
The photos you see in this series already are a few weeks old, but you can see pretty easily that the long-awaited Longmeadow Parkway bridge over the Fox River is beginning to take shape.
Photos in this series were presented during the May 14 Kane County Transportation Committee meeting’s “2019 Construction Project Update” report.

Aerial View
The following three photos include a bird’s-eye view of crews working on driving abutment piles and framing and pouring piers for the LMP C1 new bridge over Fox River.
Pier Forms
Pier forms are stripped and applied to waiting piers to keep the project moving.
Wet Spring
Despite the recent rainy weather, the contractor has been able to work, pouring new piers and working on the pier caps for the LMP C1-East of IL Route 31 to Sandbloom Road project.
