Randall Road Closed For An Hour July 2 For ‘Wall That Heals’ Vietnam Memorial

Randall Road will be closed for an hour on Tuesday, July 2, when the “Wall That Heals” Vietnam Veterans Memorial moves from Woodstock to West Dundee.

Randall Road will be closed in Elgin and West Dundee between IL Route 72 and Binnie Road. Officials anticipate that segment of Randall Road will be closed for 15 to 30 minutes between 4:15 p.m. and 5:15 p.m.

The full road closure is being conducted by multiple police agencies to facilitate the movement of The Wall That Heals Vietnam Veterans Memorial Display from Woodstock, IL to the Randall Oaks Park in West Dundee.

The procession will include hundreds of motorcycles and the Illinois State Police.

The motoring public should expect extraordinary traffic delays as a result of this procession, both on Randall Road and on surrounding roadways.

All motorists who are able to reroute around the regional area entirely are encouraged to do so. Motorists who cannot avoid this area should add considerable time to their expected travel times, anticipating delays for the road closure and subsequent traffic flow recovery.

Any questions or concerns may be directed to the event organizer contact, Jerry Christopherson, president of True Patriots Care, at 847-460-2467.
