Want To Be a Corrections Officer? Sheriff Hosts June 25 Recruitment
Interested in a good-paying job in law enforcement?
The Kane County Sheriff’s Office will be hosting a correction officers recruitment event from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 25, at the Richard and Gina Santori Public Library in Aurora and also at the Gail Borden Public Library in Elgin.
Starting salary is $50,440, with a top salary of $82,337. The Sheriff’s Office has excellent health, dental and vision benefits, retirement benefits and 13 paid holidays.
To apply, you must be 21 years of age or older, pass a written test, have a high school diploma or GED, pass a background check and polygraph and be a U.S. citizen for at least a year.
There is an application fee of $30, which is payable in cash and non-refundable.
