What’s Closed, Open For Fourth of July Weekend 2019
Independence Day is celebrated on Thursday, July 4, 2019, with a lot of businesses and institutions taking a well-deserved day off.
Because the Fourth of July falls on a Thursday, a lot of folks will be off on Friday, as well, and there will be some different nuances regarding “what’s closed, what’s open” this year, so pay attention!
Be sure to scroll down for info in post offices, Metra and PACE travel. Metra’s offering some nice travel deals.
Special to this year is the Vietnam Veterans “Wall That Heals” will be in West Dundee. Be sure to get to the event, which is open 24 hours a day from July 4 through July 6 and part of the day Sunday, July 7.
The “long weekend” will provide opportunities for getaways and travel, and more good news is that fireworks and parades celebrating our nation’s birthday will extend over a number of days in communities throughout Kane County.
