Aurora Police Release Video of ‘Vehicles of Interest’ in Fatal Hit And Run
Do you recognize either one of the vehicles in this video?
They are vehicles of interest in a fatal hit-and-run investigation of the South Edgelawn Drive collision that killed bicyclist Elizabeth Kakoczki in the early morning hours of Tuesday, July 23.
The APD on Wednesday (July 31, 2019) released a video of vehicles that might have been involved. Click this link to see the video.
According to police, at just after 1:20 a.m. on July 23, a Kane County sheriff’s deputy noticed a bicycle in a grassy area on the side of the South Edgelawn Road, just south of Prairie Street.
Police said the deputy located a woman — later identified as 61-year-old Elizabeth Kakoczki of Aurora — in the line of trees nearby and requested Aurora police officers and the Aurora Fire Department personnel come to the scene.
Kakoczki was transported to an area hospital by the Aurora Fire Department, where she was pronounced deceased.
