Tanner House Museum Offers Special Tours For Children
Special tours geared for children 4 to 10 years old will be offered at the Tanner House Museum from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 18, and Sunday, Sept. 15.
The tours will take the children into the Parlor, the Kitchen, the Dining Room and the Upstairs Sitting Room, where there will be hands-on activities showcasing various aspects of child life in the late Victorian era, as well as a special story told by Kenlyn Nash-Demeter, an Anna Tanner interpreter.
The tours are free, but donations are appreciated. No reservations are needed.
Adults will be offered the opportunity to see other areas of the house while the children are engaged.
Regular tours will be given at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. on those days.
Tanner House hours through Sept. 29 are Wednesdays and Sundays, with tours at 1 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m.
