Workplace Safety, Happier Lives, Diet Trends — Topics For Sept. 20 Wellness Works 2019

The Healthy Living Council of Aurora is once again sponsoring a Wellness Works Conference, open to local business people who want to learn about providing a healthier workspace for employees.

Topics for the Sept. 20 event include addressing volatile behavior in the workplace, creating a positive culture and exploring diet trends.

Healthy Living Council member John Russell said the first topic is especially timely, as Aurora was the scene of a horrific workplace shooting last February.

“We expect that our speakers this year, including Kane County Sheriff Ron Hain, will all address this in part during their presentations,” he said.

Wellness Works 2019 will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 20, at the Prisco Community Center in Aurora.

Exhibitors from throughout Northern Illinois will give insight and information on available workplace wellness opportunities.

The cost of the conference is $25 ($30 after Sept. 6), and includes a healthy and tasty lunch.
