Geneva Police Investigate Sunday Shooting at Public Storage

The Geneva Police Department is investigating a reported shooting that took place at 9:13 p.m. Sept. 15 at Public Storage, 2324 Gary Lane.

Upon arrival, officers found a 30-year-old St. Charles man was suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his neck and back. The man was transported to Northwestern Medicine Delnor Hospital in Geneva, where he continues to be treated for his injuries as of today (Monday, Sept. 16, 2019).

The man’s 26-year-old girlfriend, who was not injured during the shooting, spoke to police about the incident.

Police News - New CarNo suspect information is presently available, and no arrests have been made at this time.

The preliminary investigation indicates the victim was the intended target of the shooter.

Police do not believe there is a threat to the general public at this time.
