Aurora police officers and the Aurora Fire Department responded Saturday (Sept. 28, 2019) to Bilter Road at the I-88 westbound on/off ramp for a vehicle that was exiting the tollway, went off the road and into the retention pond about 200 feet off the road.

According to an Aurora Police Department Facebook post, the woman was able to get out of the car and was rescued by AFD firefighters.

She was checked by medics on the scene and had no injuries, police said.

Aurora police, fire and emergency medical units remained on the scene while the vehicle was removed.
