Waubonsee Hosts Sept. 28 Resource, Grant Workshop For Employers, Govies, Nonprofits
There are resources out there. Grants. Internships. Employment opportunities. Low-interest loans. Continuing education.
Most of it free.
But the problem is, you have to know where to look. Who to ask. How to apply.
Waubonsee Community College is offering a special opportunity to learn about the resources available and develop the skills to land those grants and opportunities that can greatly enhance your business, non-profit agency or unit of government and its ability to do good.
Employers, government officials and their staff, and representatives of community organizations are invited to network over complimentary breakfast and learn more about grants and additional resources to help recruit, hire, and train employees.
The free event will be held from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, 2019, at Waubonsee Community College’s Aurora campus, 18 S. River St., Room 160 C.
The Employer Resource and Grant Information Workshop will provide information regarding financial assistance and additional resources to help employers train and recruit employees.
Speakers include Kane County Sheriff Ron Hain, and representatives from Kane County Workforce Development, the Illinois Department of Employment Security, the Illinois Manufacturer’s Association, and Waubonsee Community College.
The event is free to the public, and will include time to network and complimentary breakfast.
