Armed Robbery Reported at Clark Gas Station in Algonquin

Algonquin police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a man who reportedly displayed a handgun at a Clark Gas Station on Main Street in Algonquin.

According to an Algonquin Police Department news release, officers responded at 7:31 p.m. Sunday (Oct. 27, 2019) to the Clark Gas Station at 1001 S. Main St., for a report of an armed robbery.

The initial investigation revealed that a male subject, dressed in black and concealing his identity with a mask, entered the business and displayed a handgun to the clerk. The offender fled the scene on foot after obtaining an undetermined amount of U.S. currency.

No one was harmed during this incident.

Officers conducted a search of the area with assisted by the Campton Hills Police Department’s K-9 unit, but did not locate the offender.
