On Oct. 13, meet Jane Addams: activist, progressive social reformer, and co-founder of Chicago’s Hull House portrayed by Betsey Means of “WomanLore.”
State of The Museum
The Elgin Area Historical Society annual meeting will take place at this 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 13, program with elections and a report on the State of the Museum.

Kane County History: At Elgin Polls, Temperance Crusaders Crush Beer Fans
Nov. 2 is the Museum’s Annual Benefit and Silent Auction! The event will be held at the Grand Victoria Riverboat in Elgin again this year. Ellie Carlson of “ElliePresents” will introduce us to “The Famous & Original Bar Room Smasher: Carry A Nation.”
