Pedestrian Airlifted After Being Struck By Vehicle in St. Charles Township
A St. Charles Township man was airlifted to a hospital with life-threatening injuries Tuesday (Oct. 1, 2019) night after he was struck by a Crown Victoria in rural St. Charles Township.
According to a Kane County Sheriff’s Office news release, a Ford Crown Victoria driven by Amber Blaskoski, 28, of St. Charles was traveling west on Courier Avenue near the intersection of Sycamore Avenue when it struck a pedestrian later identified as David Busby, 40, of St. Charles, who was walking in the roadway.
Officials did not say to which hospital Busby was airlifted but did describe his injuries as “potentially life-threatening.” Blaskoski was uninjured.
No tickets have been issued, but the crash remains under investigation by Kane County Sheriff’s Office detectives and members of the Kane County Accident Reconstruction Team.
