Randall Road Manhole Repairs Near I-90 on Wednesday, Oct. 30

Work on the county road resurfacing program is scheduled to continue with repairs on Randall Road from Fox Lane to Alft Lane, south of I-90, on Wednesday, Oct. 30, weather permitting.

Construction work is likely to last one to two hours and will occur between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30, with a temporary lane closure of one of the northbound lanes and flaggers directing traffic.

The work will consist of repairs to a manhole in the northbound lane, just north of Fox Lane, and should only entail one day of work.

Randall Road will remain open during construction, but may include temporary daily lane closures and flaggers.

Motorists should expect long delays while traveling through the work areas and should add additional time to their commutes. Drivers are asked to reduce their speed, watch for construction workers and vehicles entering or leaving the site, obey flaggers and comply with traffic control devices within the work zone.

Motorists may want to consider the use of alternate routes while this work is being completed

KDOT officials remind drivers it is illegal for drivers to talk on a cell phone while driving through a highway construction work zone.
