The Algonquin Area Public Library District will be hosting its annual Library Loop 5K run Sunday, Oct. 27, 2019.

The run will begin at 8 a.m. at the Main Library, located at 2600 Harnish Drive, and the route will end back at the Main Library — but roads will be closed as early as 6:30 a.m.

Temporary road closures will take place at the following locations and times:

Harnish Drive, between Golden Eagle Drive and Eineke Boulevard, will be closed from 6:30 a.m. until about 10 a.m.

Golden Eagle Drive, from Harnish to Bunker Hill, will closed from 8 a.m. until
about 8:45 a.m.

“For our third annual race, we wanted to go bigger and better, which is why the race is now Halloween themed,” library officials say on the website. “Don’t worry, though. Costumes are optional.”

Runners of all ages and abilities are invited to participate in the event. Prices dependent on age bracket.
