Weekend’s Big Event: Scarecrow Fest in St. Charles
One of Kane County’s biggest festivals of the year — Scarecrow Fest in St. Charles — is set for this weekend, Oct.
More than 150 hand-crafted scarecrows gather in downtown St. Charles during this annual, family-friendly, fall festival.
Visitors will enjoy live entertainment, great food, numerous interactive children’s activities, huge arts and crafts show, and so much more!
Presented by the Greater St. Charles Convention and Visitors Bureau, the event attracts tens of thousands each year.

FREE Remote Shuttle Parking
During the Festival, organizers strongly recommend parking at Pheasant Run Resort, 4051 E Main St.
There will be a FREE shuttle service all three days of the festival that will run every 20/30 minutes from Pheasant Run to the Arts & Crafts Show and to the main festival site. Click this link for directions.
Handicap parking is available at a first come basis and can be found at the St. Charles Municipal Building, 2 E. Main St.
Scarecrow Contest Displays
- 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday
- Meijer Zone — Vote for your favorite scarecrow in each category. Ballots available at the Information Booth.
Make Your Own Scarecrow
- 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday
- Geico Zone — Stuff and dress your very own unique scarecrow to take home. Supplies are available or bring your own special clothing.
Autumn on the Fox Arts & Craft Show
- 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday
- Enjoy more than 150 vendors with a variety of jewelry, metal art, stained glass, photography and more! The Arts & Crafts show is located in Pottawatomie Park.

- Find the rides in the parking lot at 3rd Street and Cedar Street
