Batavia Celebrates Opening of New Downtown Restaurant Oak + Swine

The Batavia Chamber of Commerce celebrated the opening of Batavia’s newest restaurant, Oak + Swine, with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, Nov. 15.

Oak + Swine brings a taste of central Texas barbeque to the Fox Valley, including smoked beef brisket carved to order and pulled pork.

Ribbon Cutting attendees were treated to samples of the restaurant’s beef brisket, chili and mac and cheese. The fast-casual eatery’s menu also includes smoked sausage, pastrami, salmon and turkey as meat choices, street tacos, and a selection of distinctive side dishes.

Restaurant patrons place their orders for either dine-in or carryout. Catering is also available.

The restaurant, featuring a modern industrial decor is located at 107 E. Wilson St. and is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. each day. Orders for catering or carryout may be placed over the telephone or in person. The telephone number is 630-326-9173 and website address is https://www.oakandswine.com/.

Among the large crowd of well-wishers were owner Byron Weber and his family, restaurant managers Diana Aceves and Christa Torresso, other staff members and Batavia Mayor Jeffery Schielke.

Also in attendance were Batavia Chamber President Margaret Perreault, Chamber Communications and Membership Coordinator Shirley Mott, Batavia MainStreet Executive Director Jamie Saam (temporary) and her staff, many chamber ambassadors and members, as well as fellow downtown business owners.
