Emergency Manhole Repairs Mean Randall Road Will Be Down To One Lane For 3 Days, Starting Nov. 6
Emergency repairs to Commonwealth Edison manholes will require three days of lane closures on Randall Road just south Route 72.
According to a Kane County Division of Transportation news release, contractors for Commonwealth Edison Company are scheduled to begin the emergency manhole repairs on Randall Road from Joy Lane to Carrington Drive on Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2019, weather permitting.
Construction work is expected to last three days and will require a single-lane closure of northbound Randall Road between Joy Lane and Carrington Drive to safely repair two manhole locations. One lane of northbound Randall Road will remain closed until work is completed late Friday, Nov. 8, 2019.
KDOT asks motorists to be cautious and alert for workers and equipment within the roadway.
Drivers in that area should expect long delays while traveling through the work areas and should add additional time to their commutes.
