UPDATE: Aurora Police Investigating Fatal Shooting of 15-Year-Old Girl on Near West Side

The Aurora Police Department is investigating a shooting that left a 15-year-old girl dead on Aurora’s near west side early Sunday morning.

Just after 12:20 a.m., the Aurora Police Department’s telecom center received reports of a young woman shot in the 400 block of Florida Avenue. Officers responded and found a 15-year-old suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim, who was pronounced dead on the scene by Aurora paramedics, has been identified this morning (Monday, Nov. 25, 2019) as Jasmine Noble.

Police officials say they are approaching the case as a death investigation with suspicious circumstances.

Detectives are still investigating the circumstances of the incident, interviewing potential witnesses and gathering evidence.
