Veterans Day falls on a Monday this year, and communities throughout Kane County are hosting events commemorating the “eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month” of 1918.

What’s closed and what’s open in Kane County this year is filled with variety, as well.

Kane County non-emergency offices are closed. The offices of cities and villages are a mixed bag, with more than half staying open on Monday, but quite a few closing.

Most schools are open, but most banks are closed Monday. Post offices are closed, too
