Elgin police are seeking the public’s help in an investigation of an early Friday armed robbery of a business in the 1300 block of East Chicago Street.

According to the Elgin Police Department Facebook page, police responded at around 12:37 a.m. Friday (Dec. 13, 2019) to a report of an armed robbery.

Two males, one armed with a pistol, entered the establishment and battered two clerks, neither of whom were seriously injured. The suspects then took an amount of currency and exited the location.

They were last seen in a vehicle headed northbound on Shales Parkway.
