POW! Like Cat Naps? Nika Is The Feline For You!

“The cat, it is well to remember, remains the friend of man because it pleases him to do so and not because he must.”

Life isn’t easy, not for humans and definitely not for the animals that love us.

Nika

As we work through our trials and tribulations, many times it’s our pets that pay the ultimate price of losing their safe and secure home along with their owners.

Meet Nika, a very gray tabby, Domestic shorthair about 4 years old that lost her home due to her owner’s eviction.

Nika was born to be a lap cat, sweet, fat and happy! Her new owners will need to monitor her weight so that she stays healthy and lives a long life.

We don’t know if she ever had toys, if she ever played with the fishing pole and feather, or swatted at a ball with a bell inside of it, or rolled around in cat nip. We do know that every day she sits on the highest shelf in the cat room somewhat aloof from the other cats as she gazes over her queendom and cat naps.

We’re sure her heart’s desire is to have a family that will give her lots of cuddles and kisses with no other cats around to steal her thunder. Her ideal family might be the ones who don’t have any other cats at the moment where she can finally come off the shelf and engage her new family members.

KCAC Update

Bonnie and Clyde

Congratulations to Bonnie and Clyde, the 1-year-old Domestic shorthair felines that came to us as strays. A very bonded pair, we were hoping that the two of them would get adopted together. Clyde, the shyer of the two always gave deference to Bonnie. A gentleman all the way.

Our prayers were answered when a wonderful family decided two cats are better than one and adopted both of them. They are now firmly ensconced in their new forever home, happily continuing to cuddle each other.
