The Cougars very own Fatty Burger, which can be found at the Hot Corner on the third base concourse at the Glenmark Burger Cart for the remainder of the 2016 season, will be featured on an upcoming episode of Chicago’s Best which airs every Sunday on WGN-TV at 10 p.m.

Fans can tune in this Sunday, June 19 for the Best Baseball Bites episode which will highlight the best places near US Cellular and Wrigley Field to grab a bite before the game. In addition, the episode will follow Brittney Payton and Elliott Bambrough as they visit other local ballparks, including Fifth Third Bank Ballpark, to find the best food around.

The Cougars debuted the new and improved burger, dubbed The Fatty, at the start of the 2016 season and it has satisfied meat lovers ever since. The masterpiece includes a half-pound hamburger patty topped with friend egg, jalapeno bacon, Monterey jack cheese, pulled pork, brisket, grilled onions and a drizzle of BBQ sauce to tie it all together.

Chicago’s Best host Elliott Bambrough visited the ballpark to get a history of the team before learning what goes into the making of The Fatty. Once the burger was complete he had the opportunity to try his hand at the monstrosity, giving it two big thumbs up. Some lucky fans in attendance also had the chance to taste the burger and let the world know why the Cougars and The Fatty are one of Chicago’s Best.

Celebrate Father’s Day with the Cougars when they take on the Clinton LumberKings at 1 p.m. Presented by Centegra Health, festivities include Catch on the Field, a pre-game autograph session with the Cougars, Kids Eat Free, a post-game helicopter candy drop and run the bases. Be one of the first 1,500 fans in attendance to receive a special Father’s Day cap, compliments of Centegra Health Systems.
