2 Great Tuesday Events For Veterans: Geneva American Legion and Kane Mobile Medical Unit
Tuesday is a great day for veterans in Kane County.
On the last Tuesday of each month, the Geneva American Legion Post 75 offers a continental breakfast and fellowship with other local veterans from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the American Legion Hall, 22 S. Second St. The meeting provides an opportunity to learn about programs and services that are important for veterans.
The Fellowship Breakfast is organized by American Legion Post 75 and the Veterans Assistance Commission of Kane County.
From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month, stop by the Veterans Assistance Mobile Medical Unit at the St. Charles Veterans Center, 311 North Second Street.
The MMU is the latest tool Hines VA Hospital is using to reach out to area veterans to enroll them in and provide them with quality VA healthcare. In late summer 2013, the hospital unveiled the 38-foot MMU that features two separate exam areas, a counseling room, on-the-spot enrollment and much more.
The Veterans MMU travels to St. Charles on the Second Tuesday of each month and to Huntley on the fourth Friday of each month to bring health care services and information to Kane County area veterans.
