Batavia-based BEI Properties announced Monday that it has acquired and will merge with Geneva-based Miscella Real Estate Inc.

Austin Dempsey, CEO at BEI Properties, and Patti Rambo, owner and managing broker at Miscella Real Estate, made the announcement that the two long-time central Kane County companies will be combining business operations in the coming year.

BEI Properties Inc. is known as an innovative commercial real estate and leasing firm, with many dynamic properties throughout the Greater Fox Valley area, while Miscella Real Estate’s expertise lies in residential real estate.

In business for more than 58 years, BEI Properties is a third-generation business located in downtown Batavia.

Rambo said the the partnership idea began with a casual conversation.
