By Mail

You may request a vote by mail ballot to be mailed to you. The last day we can mail you a ballot is five days prior to the election. There are two options to request a vote by mail:

  • Print out and complete an application to vote and then mail the completed form to Kane County Clerk, 719 S. Batavia Ave., Building B, Geneva, IL 60134.
  • Call the office at 630-232-5990. The Kane County Elections Authority began accepting the completed application on Jan. 2, 2019.

The ballot needs to be postmarked by election day and must be in the Kane County Clerk’s Office within two weeks after the election.

Please note that if you will be out of the country for the election, you must complete and return an FPCA form.

NOTE: ELECTION MAIL CANNOT BE FORWARDED

Persons who have registered by mail without providing identification and will be voting for the first time are not eligible to vote early by mail. But they may vote early.

Early Voting

You may vote early at the County Clerk’s office ONLY beginning 40 days prior to an election until the day before the election. If you are unable to come to our office to vote and would rather not vote by mail, you may vote early at locations spread throughout the county.
