For the most part, Kane County Connects’ audience is, as one might expect, residents of Kane County. Every now and again, an article garners regional or even statewide interest.

In this case, there might have been some national interest. We know that because of e-mails we received from folks across the country who said they were coming to our neck of the woods to see the “Big Boy” steam train firsthand.

The initial story on Big Boy’s scheduled visit garnered 25,924 page views. The followup story on parking and other details drew another 20,006 page views.
